The Senior HR Manager will partner with leadership, union, and employees to align and support the strategic business goals of Cascades Tissue Group - Oregon.
This individual will have two HR Advisors reporting to them, one in each location, and the HR team will have the opportunity to implement change and foster good employee relations and engagement.
This role requires travel between our units in Scappoose and St Helens.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership skills and knowledge of Human Resource laws, practices, and labor contracts.
  • Lead the HR Team made up of 2 direct deports.
  • Responsible for the plant engagement, Human Resource policies, procedures along with contract maintenance, grievance handling and documentation.
  • Responsible and lead for coordination of grievances, arbitration preparation, contract preparation and organization of labor management meetings and communication to all parties.
  • Ability to lead and influence change and do an integration of cultures.
  • Contribute to the implementation of Human Resources operational strategies, support integration to Cascades systems and support the business.
  • Development and coordination of performance, compensation and succession planning for both facilities
  • Key member of the leadership teams, which will be able to partner with the teams to align and support strategic business goals.

Desired Experience and Competencies:

  • Seven plus years of direct management experience in Human Resources with supervisory responsibility.
  • Seven plus years of direct negotiations and labor contract management where you were the primary resource on the bargaining and management of daily contract grievances, arbitrations and litigations.
  • Human Resource manufacturing experience preferably in the paper industry or similar union and labor environments.
  • Past experience in coaching and leading a team.
  • Strong change management skills and previous process implementation duties.
  • Proven track record of leadership, engagement and successful contract negotiations
  • Understanding of an HRIS and a payroll, time and attendance systems.
    Strong Computer skills.
  • Human Resource Certification SHRM, SPHR or PHR or other industry recognized certifications.
  • Ability to work closely with leadership teams and help facilitate learning, engagement and positive relationships.
  • Coaching and negotiating skills.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
